AboutForgotten Landscapes Research, LLC is a woman owned and operated historic preservation and public history consulting firm. We offer a variety of services including: local, state, and national inventory forms, historic property research, cultural landscape studies, organizational consulting, social media, interpretation, program development, measured plans, photographic documentation, and more.
Our principal owner, Grace, meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards for both History and Historic Architecture. She has over 6 years of experience working in the historic preservation and public history fields and holds a Master of Historic Preservation degree from the University of Maryland. Two of Grace's biggest, published projects are: 1. Historic Structure Investigation, Piper House, Antietam National Battlefield. This research has been instrumental to the National Park Service, and the NPS Historic Preservation Training Center has been using the research and findings in the exterior rehabilitation work being performed in the summer of 2022. 2. Changing Landscapes: Farmsteads and Resort Towns, a project that Grace project managed for the University of Maryland's Historic Preservation Studio class.
